Hey there! Friends, sports fans, video game enthusiasts, and fellow Global Game Jam participants! 🎉🎉🎉 It has been a VERY FAST-PASSING week but I can confidently say that we here at Glass Robot are finished with our own submission. It was a bit touch-and-go during the beginning and middle of the week, but everything came together throughout this past weekend 😊
Field Day (as it also states in the title of this post) is a Tower Defense game about "rooting" out a sports team of bullies from your home turf! In one corner, there stands the endless team of bullies known simply as the Weeds! They may not be green but they are mean, and they'll stop at nothing to dominate your home turf. But on this side of the court and under your command, you've got as many rookies as you need called the Roots!! They've got the pluck, a lot of heart, but they're nothing without your determined coaching.
Root your soldiers into the ground surrounding the random paths that the Weeds might take and don't let them score any kick-goal-point-baskets! 🏈🏑⚽ Time to show these Weeds who's the real boss RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW ON FIELD DAY!!
